About Kari

I’m a registered dietitian with almost 20 years of experience. Most recently, I spent 10 years leading a team of dietitians as the  Clinical Nutrition Manager at Medstar Georgetown Hospital where I provided nutrition counseling for a wide variety of conditions. I currently serve as an adjunct professor of nutrition at Georgetown University and the University of Maryland Global Campus.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Eastern Michigan University.

I use a non-diet approach to healthy eating.  All foods have a place in a balanced diet, and I focus on developing an eating plan that supports optimal health tailored to the specific needs of each individual.   I use concepts of intuitive eating to support a healthy relationship with food.

I joined the Foxhall Foundation in fall 2021 and share the Foundation’s vision of creating wellness opportunities to improve quality of life across the age spectrum.
